Community Associations Institute (CAI) is a national organization dedicated to fostering vibrant, competent, harmonious community associations. For more than 30 years, CAI has been the leader in providing education and resources to the volunteer homeowners who govern community associations and the professionals who support them. Their members include community association volunteer leaders, professional managers, community management firms, and other professionals and companies that provide products and services to associations.
National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM) grants the Certified Manager of Community Associations® (CMCA®) credential to individuals who demonstrate fundamental knowledge and expertise in managing homeowner and condominium associations and cooperatives. NBC-CAM was created in 1995 by Community Associations Institute as an independent, yet affiliated, nonprofit organization.
Association of Condominium, Townhouse, and Homeowners Associations (ACTHA) focuses on community associations - condominiums, townhomes, HOAs and co-ops in Chicago, Cook, Lake, Will, McHenry, Kankakee and other collar counties throughout Illinois. Their depth of knowledge, resources, and educational seminars inform and educate community association boards throughout Illinois. For more than 30 years, they have helped their members solve day-to-day challenges and capitalize on longer-term opportunities. They retain a lobbyist in Springfield to advocate on behalf of their members and all Illinois associations.
